Aspire Homes Australia is currently recruiting for Therapeutic Youth Workers. This is an exciting opportunity to provide trauma-informed therapeutic care for children and young people who have experienced significant adversity. We aim to be the leading provider in Wagga through our skilled and experienced staff, home-like environments and the development of a specific therapeutic framework.

Essential criteria:
- Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Current National Criminal History Check Certificate
- First Aid Certificate, preferred but not essential
- A valid driver’s licence
- Roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle
- A qualification in Social Work, Youth Work etc. or willing to obtain one, or considerable industry experience
You will:
- Provide a safe and secure environment in which young people can thrive
- Support young people as they transition into and out of our care
- Support young people to achieve their living skills and Case Plan goals
- Be an advocate for the young person
- Have the necessary skills to manage complex behaviours and difficult situations according to the young person’s behaviour management plan
- Be available for shift work
- Have strong written and oral communication skills
- Be an effective team-player, with the ability to work autonomously
- Undertake ongoing training as identified
